A year since my best plane

So... It's been a year since the original, and it's my birthday again. 17 whole years now. Crazy...
The first one underperformed for what it was ... So here's one of the previous version that didn't make the cut, now without much expectation behind it, Along with my entire lineup of planes since then with a little bit of the behind the scenes for each of them.

For the people who are here forever this plane

[Skip below to see all the important stuff and not have to read through the babble]

The A-40 Is the ultima, the magnum opus, the best there is. It's UPDF's most renowned work. It's the pinnacle of aeronautics, dominating the skies of many despite being in the hands of few

So.. what makes this thing tick? [ A guide to functionality and some lore dump ]

The craft is quite literally jam packed with state of the art weaponry, each to serve an entirely different purpose... lets explore in depth.

It's got more [Space Drives/Plasma drives]

Above is the reactor for the space flight [Thanks for this, Thomas.]
It's the soul of this craft as it allows you to go to space with ease. Below you will see quick guide with how to use it.

Triassic? isn't that related to dinosaurs? [ How the A-40 manages to keep control in space ]

why such a high regard for this thing? [ What makes the Echostar kinda cool...]

She's a quirky one. I mean.. space flight and all... but it gets weirder or better... depends on who you are.

Starting with....

The Cockpit.

The miscellaneous

Last but not the least [I may have missed something and may post an update]

And honestly... that's that! I'm sure that I'm still missing something... but I ensured that you got all you need to fly it and have some fun doing so.. Tell us how it's performing for you... we ( the people who worked on it) would love to know what you think about the build in the comments... really! I love reading them!

Lastly... I must thank those who made it all possible... sooooo

[ For those who skipped here ]

The aircraft is space capable.

AG1 for weaponry activation

AG2 For the Triassic compensator override ( They start in space, but you can start it in atmosphere and do some cool post stall stuff )

AG3 For the lights

AG4 for Itano circus or a barrage mode. It nulls out the Delay between
launches so basically you can send all 40 missiles all at once.

AG7 For the plasma drive or space engines which only can start once you pass
90,000 feet. You use the guns to fire them.

AG8 Open the canopy ( Closes at speed anyway so you don't need this)

The nimbus weapon does not accelerate, it will hold the speed you launch it at

The wolfpaws aren't very special, but they do big boom...

The hypervectrons do not need you to lock on to anything. Select the target, regardless of where it is and them let them go.

Venturing into unknown lands

My next build was literally a project I took just to change things up a little... Make a bus... Of all things
Now, of course, this thing got very quickly show horned to the side burner... But it reignited the fun of... Innovating... Thinking a little weirdly in a game that plays weirdly... A bus... That can do this:

New waves hit hard

then the boat came, a remaster to a very old build of mine... Which... Err... The remaster ended up being the more lazy build of the two. Not sure how...

The funny thing with this boat was I was actually trying to overdo it. Add more parts, increase complexity, make it feels like a good build... And despite that, it ended up like this.
Gotta hand it to me though, for the idiot I was back then, the design is nice.

Ending A chapter of lies

This one was the big one. I came out about how I was lying for so long and my whole... "I'm dead" gig had to end.
I was hoping that with this I could reconnect with those I had lost... Yet had to come to terms that they too had long since moved on. What I least expected was to be found under a new light. Not one that accepted me out of duty, sympathy, or lies... But one where I was me, and was accepted by people because I was me. The design of the plane Used for that post was my first ever true attempt at making a good plane... And I thought it's right to pay homage to the legacy.

Breaking Mindset.

I was tired. All my damned planes were looking like the same thing over and over and over again. I wanted something simple and elegant for once... Something different, not a fighter. There was no better candidate than one of my old GA aircraft builds.

The alper gave me a sense of understanding of what my build style was... What strengths I had, what weakness I have to work on... It was the first TRUE aircraft that for once was perfectly done according to my standards while making it... And it shows, people loved it, I loved it, it was a win (of course, you ask me now and Id tell you the build quality is shit). But it was a turning point, this one. A point at which I could now hone in to what I knew I did well

Ghosts that don't haunt.

How often do you get to make a build that rights all wrongs you've wronged? A build that cements yourself a place within the hearts of good friends? This build answered that for

I'm gonna be honest this was the most STUPID build workflow I had with no sense of direction like OH MY GOD I just kinda went with whatever I felt was right and somehow managed to make a plane that just looked right, Lol. I hadn't even done much research for the thing except a Lot... And like... A lot of hour spent staring at F-15 turn rate charts just so that I could outdo them (and fail miserably but atleast came close). I'm still surprise to this very day that I won. I will say this though. This one still hold as my best plane this year. It was one heck of a ride making it in 20 days... But it was well worth the grind.

Grinding gears

Funnily enough, it's true that this bus ACTUALLY ended up encapsulating everything I learnt in the whole year that went by. Interior work, Code, and quirky designs.

Sureeee you can argue all you want that this thing is the bare minimum and weird and very corporate/forced build looking
But I'm not joking when I say this was THE MOST FUN I've had in Simpleplanes since the past 8 years. It was of course, due to the fact that it explored a lot of interesting things like it's stability control, design and interiors...

But I think the most underrated part was just adding in some fun things, lIke Mita from MiSide, And a blue screen, and some pseudo wine bottles here and there. (Yes, Pseudo wine is a thing)... Stuff like that made the process enjoyable! And I feel like having easter eggs in your build like that is underrated.

I guess that's about it. Thanks for this whole years Simpleplanes. Let's hope my bday goes well 💖
