The YF 24A "Sky Crawler" (Y meaning Prototype and F meaning Fighter accorsing to the 1962 TriService aircraft designations for the US Military) is a further development of the F15S/MTD or F15 Active project, but this time with a completely new fuselage and systems. Comes armed with a 20mm Vulcan minigun, 6 LRAAMs and 6 SAAMs
Development: This aircraft started development in 2015 as a way to increase USAF capabilities during high speed or high altitude d0gfighting. It originaly was a joint project by Bounce, Boeing and Lockheed Martin and funded by the US Departament of Defense. By 2019 2 prototypes, 1 with a single seat and 1 with two seats were made. By 2022, it entered service.
