M560A1 Demolisher Tank Destroyer
Author's note: I based this tank destroyer of TDs in World of Tanks, such as the T30 and T103 heavy Tank Destroyers.
The M560A1 "Demelisher" is an extremely well armoured modern tank destroyer that in extremely specific cases could be considered or used as an MBT. It carries a powerful 130mm M130-560A1 Auto-Reloading (6 second reload per shell) cannon capable of firing multiple types of shells, from convetion AP to HEATFS to APFSDS and even a modified Excalibur guided artilery shell, made espicifically for that gun called Knight, which can be guided for long distance shots. It also comes armed with 2 20mm chainguns on the turret sides, controlled remotely by the commander for when to shoot. Its armour is classified, but it is known that the turret's frontal side is the most well armoured. It is equipped with a main gas turbine engine, but has secondary, small diesel engines (not in the build sadly) to provide eletrical power, hence why the exaust pipes at the vehicle's back.
Development: The project for this vehicle started in 1990 to complement the Abrams line of MBTs with a bigger cannon. By 2002, a few prototypes of defirent manoufacturers were made: one from Chrysler, one from GM and one from surprisingly, Reinmettal. The prototype chosen was the GM prototype, but some technologies from Reinmettal were incorporated in the final product. By 2010, it was already in service. Each unit costs around 50 million USD.
Controls: Throttle for movement.
Yaw to steer.
VTOL fot turret movement.
Trim for gun elevation.
AG1 for main cannon and its elevation.
AG2 for 20mm chainguns.
AG3 for smoke grenade launchers.
