MW1A3 Grant
Ello there lads! Im starting off with this one as the first upload, then ill....well you'll see, so anywho,this is the walker thingy in the fog! The grant! Ill explain it riiiight now
History
The MW1A3 otherwise known as the grant is an american medium walker bought out by the british and modified to have a 45mm 2nd cannon and 105mm hull cannon, a sub generation of gen 1 mechs this specific variant saw use in the african theatre replacing a majority(but not all) tanks as they were less prone to getting caught in the sand, the MW1A3 took home the name "africas work horse" as it partook in many battles, it was later deemed obsolete and replaced by newer generation mechs,it was the 2nd most used and produced mech in the war, only getting topped by the GPZ.IV, a walker built by the germans in response to the allied walkers.
Countries that bought/operated the MW1A3 Grant
While they were never bought by any other country the lend lease act lead to other allied powers getting ahold of some grants themselves, namely the U.S.S.R and france,both receiving 1,000 (more or less) walkers, in total a staggering 5,623 were built, the GPZ.IV topping this with a whopping 8,000 or so built in the war
Specs
It uses a 567 HP diesel engine to power the legs aswell as power the interior(couldn't model one cause i didn't want to spend more time on this thing plus im lazy)like lights instruments etc etc, the weaponry it has is a 45mm QF 2 pdr secondary with a 105mm Howitzer hull cannon, camera to aim and unfortunately i got too excited and uploaded it without crosshairs, but i probably will update it sooner or later with the XML thing,if i dont then im working on the other two
Crew amount:7,commander, ×2 gunner and loader,×2 pilots
Controls
Trim=angle for climbing up hill
AG-1 for lights
Gear up to deactivate the walker
Ag2-8 do not do anything
special thanks to...
