Martin Aeronautics MA-27 Conqueror

10.9k MartinAeronautics  2 months ago

The MA-27 is more or less experimental, not really serving a purpose as of yet. The design is very unorthodox as it appears to have no visible wings. It uses a lifting body to fly as opposed to traditional wings. For the controls, it has large paddles behind to allow for pitch and roll. It isn’t tremendously fast as it’s large turbofan engines provide plenty of drag. The enormous thrust does allow for quick acceleration and good climb rate. It lacks the space for a cargo area or weapons bay, but it houses beefy landing gear that are well equipped for uneven surfaces. You can really land like a navy pilot in this thing. Hope you guys enjoy.

This could be a good base for a flying wing.
Anyone else getting that kind of vibe...?
