MacGyver Challenge Entry-Balloon Bike
Story
It’s 1987-MacGyver has been trapped in a Libyan junkyard by a group of terrorists who have left him to die and needs to escape quietly and efficiently. He finds two metal boat shells, rivets them together, and fills them with helium from two wasted tanks. He finds a discarded bicycle and replaces the front wheel with a cardboard stablilizer held together by PVC pipe. He then mounts the helium tank to the bike with more PVC and puts a ballast tank made from an old fuel tank. After that, he mounts two electric fans powered by a small rotary generator in the pedals. The rig works successfully, getting MacGyver out of the junkyard to his getaway driver he called with a makeshift radio.
