Credit to PlaneWelder for the map, extraordinary man, and Jundroo for the various electronic displays.

In the early 1980s rumors of an American stealth jet surfaced. To avoid increasingly capable soviet air defenses, the US developed an aircraft that was effectively invisible to radar.

Intrigued by the rumors of a stealth aircraft, a popular model company known as Testors designed a model of a stealth plane they called the F-19. The model was built to reflect what the supposed stealth plane looked like, claiming it was “90% accurate”. Other model companies also followed suit, Revell, Monogram, and Italeri all jumping in on the F-19 craze.

Sure enough, the model kits sold extremely well, with Testors F-19 selling 700,000 units almost immediately. The aircraft also appeared in numerous games, books, and toys. F-19 Stealth Fighter which was developed and released in 1988, sold out in 2 months. Red Storm Rising by Tom Clancy featured the F-19A, which was a secret weapon to combat the Soviet invasion of Germany. GI Joe’s Phantom X-19 was loosely based on Testors F-19.

In late 1988, the public would finally see the actual American stealth fighter, the F-117, which looked nothing like Testors F-19. This resulted in the company’s reputation plummeting, and the corporation slowly withdrew from producing model vehicles.

The plane in the thumbnail is a replica of the Testors F-19, equipped with the loadout based off of the game F-19 Stealth Fighter. Comes with a fully functional cockpit, along with internal weapons bays and customized landing gears.

Aircraft Handling Notes:

Takeoff speed is about 220 knots, landing speed is 150 knots. Do not use Trim and Pitch simultaneously, otherwise your AOA will be too high and the plane will spin uncontrollably. If this happens, reset Trim and stabilize the plane.

The F-19 is fully carrier capable. When Taking off from aircraft carriers, put Afterburners on at full power for about 5-10 seconds until the your rear tires are fully off the ground and the plane is leaning forward, else your front landing gear will pop off.

(Random side note: This was originally meant for Onat67's challenge, but I built is as a seperate file. Right now this is my first ever post)
