About Aurigny:

Aurigny Air Services Limited (pronounced /'??r?ni/), commonly known as Aurigny, is the flag carrier airline of the Bailiwick of Guernsey with its head office next to Guernsey Airport in the Channel Islands, and wholly owned by the States of Guernsey since nationalisation in 2003. It operates regular passenger and freight services to the Channel Islands, France, the Republic of Ireland and the United Kingdom. Its main base is situated next to Guernsey Airport, with other aircraft and crew based at Alderney Airport. Aurigny is one of the longest serving regional airlines in the world, and is the second oldest established airline in Britain after Loganair. The origin of its name lies in the cognate across Norman languages for Alderney.

About the Embraer E-JET family:

The Embraer E-Jet family is a series of four-abreast, narrow-body, short- to medium-range, twin-engined jet airliners designed and produced by Brazilian aerospace manufacturer Embraer.

The E-Jet was designed to complement Embraer’s earlier ERJ family, the company’s first jet-powered regional aircraft. With a capacity of 66 to 124 passengers, the E-Jets were significantly larger than any aircraft Embraer had developed before that time. The project was unveiled in early 1997 and formally introduced at the 1999 Paris Air Show. On 19 February 2002, the first E-Jet prototype completed its maiden flight, and production began later that year.

The first E170 was delivered to LOT Polish Airlines on 17 March 2004. Initial rollout issues were quickly overcome, and Embraer rapidly expanded product support for better global coverage. Larger variants, the E190 and E195, entered service later in 2004, while a stretched version of the E170, the E175, was introduced in mid-2005.

The E-Jet series achieved commercial success, primarily due to their ability to serve lower-demand routes while offering many of the amenities and features of larger jets. The E-Jet family is used by both mainline and regional airlines worldwide, with particular popularity among regional airlines in the United States. It also served as the foundation for the Lineage 1000 business jet.

In the 2010s, Embraer introduced the second-generation E-Jet E2 family, featuring more fuel-efficient engines. However, as of 2023, the first-generation E175 remains in production to meet the needs of U.S. regional airlines, which are restricted from operating the newer generation due to scope clause limitations

About G-NSEY:

G-NSEY was the only E195 for the Aurigny fleet. Aurigny picked its aircraft to fill the Manchester-Guernsey gap that Flybe left behind. It was retired in 2024, ending 14 years of service.

This specific aircraft had its first flight on 11/6/2014, is 10.6 years old, and was tested at São José dos Campos-Professor Urbano Ernesto Stumpf International Airport (SJK/SBSJ), with the registration PR-EGE. Its MSN is 19000671.

This specific aircraft has currently been with the following airlines (as of when this was posted:)
Note: sections in bold means it was not taken up.

  • Aurigny, from 24/6/2014 - 31/5/2024, with the registration G-NSEY.
  • Azzora Aviation, since 1/8/2024, with the registration G-NSEY.

    • It has been stored at Exeter Airport (EXT/EGTE) since 6/1/2025.

  • Lumiwings, with the registration SX-??? (Maybe SX-LWE, if this follows the pattern that Lumiwings registers its aircraft.)

    • This aircraft was to be named “Kerkyra”, also known as Corfu.

The aircraft still is stored at Exeter to this day.

Also: Builds may be in lower quantity and quality, due to less time making these, in which that is due to school. Hope this helps!
