Douglas A-4E Skyhawk
I sacrificed 5% of my brain cells to make this. It's also my first "realistic" replica and uses a few building techniques that I haven't utilized before like flaps, XML edited wings, and blueprints. Hope you enjoy flying the Skyhawk.
Description
The Douglas A-4 Skyhawk is a carrier-based attack aircraft that first flew in 1954. Since then, it has been in service with ten countries, including the United States, Argentina, New Zealand, Israel, and Indonesia. It was the US Navy's primary attack aircraft during the Vietnam War, later flying alongside the A-7 Corsair II that was supposed to replace it. The A-4E variant depicted here has an improved engine and avionics, which was the second most produced variant of the Skyhawk. This particular A-4 has an armament of two Colt Mk.12 20mm cannons, six Mk.82 250 pound bombs arranged in racks, and two LAU-10 rocket pods carrying 4 Zuni rockets each.
