Background
Ruth H. Tanner is a class of Fleet carrier being built to replace the older Irene Class Fleet Carriers. The vessels include technologies such as the Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System, along with various design features intended to improve efficiency and reduce operating costs, with smaller crews. Named after Princess Ruth H. Tanner of the Royal Iridium Federation, the vessel is the second largest carrier in the fleet with a length of 1078.5ft.
Powered by two A3R reactors producing a total of 1800 MW of power. Propelling the carrier to a speed of at least 34 Knots. Allowing the carrier to run for 25 years with a 75 year expected service life.
The Ruth H. Tanner has an aircraft compliment of around 93 aircraft. Primarily loaded with F-52s and uses various sensor aircraft such as the E-4 Eagle Eye or the R-104 Mergellus. It also carries various surface to air missile systems and Phalanx guns which can be replaced with other defense systems in the Federation Arsenal. It also includes a torpedo APS system which protects the vessel using underwater torpedo tubes which intercept the incoming threat.
