M-2Echo Navarro MBT
American Mobile and Light MBT!
Author's Note: This tank was originally part of a colab with @DFoulke, and i made the original version of this vehicle. However, we ended up never using it so it just stayed on my saved builds gathering dust. I took this tank, changed some minor things (mainly making the suspension travel independent and not solid) and i'm now posting it, with my own backstory and everything. If you want to, i believe you can go down the successor rabbit hole to see the original tank.
Introduction: The M-2Echo "Navarro" Main Battle Tank is a lightweight and maneuverable tank armed with a powerful 120mm main cannon, capable of shooting many different rounds of ammunition, including APFSDS and HEAT, alongside a .50 Calliber coaxial machinr gun. It is also decently armored, but not as much as a M1A2 Abrams MBT.
Development: Developed by GM in the late 90s as a companion vehicle to the M1 Abrams MBT already in service with the US Military. It's objective was to be lightweight, easily transportable, simple to control, cheap and reliable, while also meant to be capable of being airdropped. It's first prototypes, named Werewolf and Hydra, not turreted and turreted respectively were completed in 2003 and testing showed promise. In 2006 the final product was revealed and the vehicle then entered service in 2008.
