Lockheed SR-71A Blackbird

thealban and kikasshes bring you the most realistic SR-71 the site has seen so far. thealban did the astonishing ground work and I upgraded the gear and engines to live up to the standards of 1.4.
You can retract the gear with the 'G' command (or press the gear button).
AG1 activates/deactivates afterburners.
AG8 switches the landing light on/off.
Happy flying!

@iPilot I haven't really played SimplePlanes for quite a while but if the next update is interesting enough I might come back to creating planes again.
I more was thinking create one right now. But I guess that's good enough.@kikasshes
@iPilot This is an original, and this and this and this and this is a throwback to how SimplePlanes looked like when I started playing it over 2 years ago.
Try making your own plane and comment a link here. Making new planes is quite fun👍@kikasshes
@iPilot And here I've added even more stuff like, new inlets with moving inlet spikes and parachute like the real thing.
Cool
@iPilot And the engines were rebuilt
Oh yeah, I toooooooootally forgot the landing gear. @kikasshes
@iPilot No.
You basically took someone else's work and made it go faster?
@kikasshes no
@RedstoneAeroAviation Do you mean not even mobile unfriendly?
@kikasshes not even mobile friendly for me =D
@RedstoneAeroAviation Not even 400 parts ;)
Not even 1000 parts
@kikasshes i use the afterburners at low altitude to avoid missiles :P
@TheMajesticWalrus I kinda designed the engines to look awesome in that setting.
@kikasshes wait what?
@TheMajesticWalrus I already knew that.
This looks epic when
At
High altitude
Afterburners on
Night
