Auto Credit Based on Pilotmario's Dart Interceptor Mk II
While the Dart Mk II was an excellent interceptor, pilots regularly complained about its vulnerability in a dogfight. While a fairly maneuverable craft, its long-range missiles proved useless in a turnfight. They also complained about the new interceptor's over-reliance on missiles. As a result, the Dogfighter Kit was introduced, retrofitting compatiability with the Guardian missile and adding a Mk 6 cannon under the nose in a conformal gun pod, as well as proper sights for these weapons. This had a negligible impact on performance, and was found to be very popular. This upgrade was done to all Dart Mk II interceptors in the field.
