Working tracking camera
Welcome!
This is a project I wanted to do for a while now, and I finally managed to get it done. So. What is this? You might be asking. This is a tracking camera that holds the heading of the camera it self. It's still only vertical, and it has blind spots, where it won't lock on but I'll make a full version of this later.
How does it work?
Glad you asked! It uses a ring full of magnets that is freespinning and kept in place by a gyro. Next to that, there is a second "ring" that has the camera on it. When you activate it using AG2 the magnets turn on, and the lock mechanism relases the camera rotation. Pretty simple right?
Where can I use this?
I suggest using this mostly on helicopters to keep track of targets. You could use it on a spy plane too.
If you use this, please credit me.
