Testa TLM-10/010 Lancer - 1980
DESCRIPTION
After taking a break in 1975, Testa came back in 1980 with Chassis 010 of the TLM-10 class, this time without their French satellite team, now using an extension of their F1 Team which started in 1980, but started racing in 1981, they brought their F1 Driver, Terry Anderson, and junior racer Pierre Bordeaux, the car ran in the WSC from 1980-1982, and didn't see much success until 1981, the car had understeering issues, balancing issues, and weight issues, that had them crash in Le Mans in 1980, making the 010 Chassis unusable until the 1981 WSC, it's replacement for the rest of 1980 was an outdated and tired Chassis 009, which last raced in 1975, once again, Chassis 010 (like other TLM-10 Chassis) was powered by a Renault V12, Elf fuel, and Dunlop tires, the car also fell into the "Sports 5000" category for it's size and power, the car entered the "Group C" category in it's final season in 1982, of course, this was the last chassis built for the TLM-10, it's highest overall finish was 2nd in Silvertone 1982, and Testa soon started development on the TLM-11 shortly after the 1982 Le Mans, and went in use in the 1983 WSC.
