Background

The Rostov CH-33 Lapikov is a twin-engine heavy-lift helicopter designed by Rostov for the Federation Royal Airforce. The aircraft is able to have a maximum cargo capacity of 25,000lbs. The Lapikov is able to hold its cargo up and tight against its center spine to reduce drag and eliminate the pendulum effect when flying forward. It possesses the ability to winch vehicles up and down from a hovering position, allowing the helicopter to deploy loads while hovering.
