25 Parts F9F-8 Cougar
US Navy Blue Angle team, 1954-55
Super steady plane to fly
History
The Grumman F9F/F-9 Cougar was a carrier-based fighter aircraft for the United States Navy and United States Marine Corps. Based on Grumman's earlier F9F Panther, the Cougar replaced the Panther's straight wing with a more modern swept wing.
Build Note:
Because of its large stubby wings, this plane is so stable to fly. As most of the 1950s jets, they are subsonic. I match its speed to 650mph as the real one does. Its very stable and easy to land and takeoff.
