Flying squirrel scout aircraft!

9,115 T8flight  6.6 years ago

The Flying Squirrel STOL aircraft was first designed during the Vietnam war. It had very little purpose except scout missions and one man evac, all things that a helicopter could do easier. When the war somewhat stopped, adventure goers in the U.S. and Canada noticed its capabilities and the company began making it for civilian use. The people did not like it as much as the special forces version so they made extreme upgrades and changes to it. And later the company noticed this and started making them better, but still people extremely customized them to their own needs and adventures. With a 1-2 person seat configuration and room for a couple of suitcases. This plane is loved by adventure goers everywhere now. In this model it has 1 seat, storage doors in the back, and gigantic wheel shock absorbers. The engine is a turbine turbo that is fairly inexpensive and lasts a ridiculous 7000 hours in the air with another inexpensive engine overhaul available.
