The M1A2W Abrams is a Wright Army version of the current in service M1A2 Abrams, it is a upgraded and up-gunned version of the M1IP with upgrades to the Fire Control System, Ballistics Computer, Cannon, and Armor, this Tank Urban Survival Kit variant is a one of the most important upgrades in the Wright Army fleet of M1A2 Abrams (35 of which is upgraded from M1IP to M1A2, 500 of which is a original M1A2, and 1,916 M1A2W Abrams is on the storage, particularly for the reserve) but due to the risk of friendly fire, the tank has a Combat Identification Panel, which is a Identification Friend or Foe Device, commonly mounted on the all US Army Vehicles during the 2003 Invasion of Iraq.
