Wright Air (branded as Wright International Airways) is the flag-carrier of the Wright Isles founded in 1963. Around 2004-05, Wright Air purchased 35 737-800s in order to replace aging 737-200s and older -400s and for lower fuel costs. In 2007-08 Wright Air repainted some of their 737-800, 757-200 and 737-400 "Checkerboard" liveries into a much simpler livery known as "Solid Blue".
