Background

The ASROD APC 'Wild-Dog' was developed by WYDL in the late 90's and meant to quicky destroy convoys with ease. The ASROD is always used in packs of 2-4 APC's and can easily take out a convoy, however a single ASROD is still capable of the same effect. WYDL designated the ASROD 'Wild-Dog' after the African Wild Dog due to the quick and easy success that a single pack of ASROD's have against an entire convoy.

Weapons and Systems

The ASROD is equipped with a single Short-Range Automatic Target Identifying G30 'Firestarter' Autocannon (S-RATI G30's). It can also be equipped with a single S-RATI and 6x Short-Range Surface to Surface R31 'Widowmaker' Rockets (S-RATI SR/SS G31's). It also features 1x SA/SS 168X for communications. Inside of the aiming module for the S-RATI system, there is a small Short-Range Electro-Magnetic Radar Detection System (SR/EMRDS) for targeting data with DataLink between fighters and the ASROD.
