Hawker Hart II MKIX 1.7

233k RamboJutter  5.9 years ago

So after capturing blueprints from Blohm and Voss, the allies set out to build aircraft using principles shown in those designs. The BV192.01 used a propellor mounting location which was located within the fuselage but further rearward than normal which reduced forward weight and increased manoeverability. The allies with a combined effort from Hawker, Supermarine and Martin Baker came up with this development of the Hawker Hart. It has nose mounted sneb rockets which are activated with Ag2 which also releases the nose shroud. Ag3 turns on the nav / identification lights.

@ThomasRoderick yeah I can understand that. As greasytortle suggested below it not unusual in the rc world especially indoor models like this. As for the rockets that was inspired by German ww2 secret projects like the natter, plus it looked boring if I didn't do something on the nose :)

@ThomasRoderick have a look at blohm & voss bv.192.01 (Just Google it) it's not as wacky as you may think.

Awesome! I love how you kept a level of WW2 realism, but still allowed for an experimental vibe of the plane. It has accurate performance, as well: I did some testing, and it pulls an average of 10.2 Gs in a full circle. The roll rate is accurate, along with the flight speed. Good paint job as well! Magnificent plane.

@Tang0five ah the harrier was a bit of a joke with Bogdan as someone had properly ripped it off and posted it without successor etc, i removed it after the joke had ran its course (it didnt feel right to benefit from a 30second recolour =) ). I might actually spend some time on it though in the future and add a camo to it.
