The T-50 fighter is a high-performance multi-purpose fighter developed and produced under the "Future Tactical Air Force Combat Complex"(PAK-FA) program led by the Sukhoi Aviation Group of the United Aviation Manufacturing Company of the Russian Federation. As a fifth-generation fighter, its prototype made its first test flight on January 29, 2010, and made its second and third flights on February 6 and February 12, 2010. As of August 31, 2010, 17 test flights were conducted. By mid-November, a total of 40 test flights had been conducted. The second prototype began flight testing at the end of 2010 but was postponed until March 2011. After 2012, the Russian Ministry of Defense purchased the first 10 assessment test machines and then equipped 60 standard models after 2016. The first fighter planes will be equipped with existing technical engines. The service life of the T-50 fighter is expected to be 30 -- 35 years.
