Rainier Greenhorn
Meet Rainier's first general aviation design, the Greenhorn!
Greenhorn is a proof-of-concept demonstrator aircraft for Rainier's Greenhorn Program to develop an experimental category sport aircraft that will be available as kit for people to build and fly! However if the demand arises, Greenhorn itself may be developed into a production kitplane as well.
Greenhorn is a 1-seat, fixed-geared, all-metal, fully aerobatic aircraft with a Lycoming 200HP IO-360 and can go up to 250MPH (about 217 knots). It also can carry 48 total gallons of fuel. The prototype for now features a carbon-fiber fixed-pitch Scimitar propeller by Prince Aircraft Company, but may switch to a constant-speed prop in the future.
This aircraft is also intended to be my first SimplePlanes-FSX conversion plane.
All Controls Default Except
VTOL = Flaps
Enjoy!

Dang,that would be sick.But I am by no means a tech guy at all.I freaking have no idea what to do when it comes to files or anything like that.But what's funny is that my uncles knows everything about computers and I'm worse than a 2 year old at pc stuff.But anyways,I've seen people use blender and it look so difficult.Can you actually make stuff in it?@JohnnyBoythePilot
@Hedero
I think FSX, particularly steam edition still holds up today with the performance improvements DTG gave it, and the fact they bundled all the FSX versions into one easy-to-install pack for only $24. But there is a tool called "Blender2FSX" that allows you to create airplanes for FSX using blender. Well, if I can create my planes in SP and then export them as an .obj file & import them into Blender, that should greatly cut down on development.
Wait what?You can convert models to fsx?Or am I getting this totally wrong?That would be sick though if you build something and put it into fsx.But FSX is sorta terrible now.I mean,the graphics suck.But it was the flight sim I grew up with,so hold it holds a lot of nostalgia.@JohnnyBoythePilot
@Hedero
I made this plane dirt-simple so it will hopefully be easy for me to convert to FSX.
@Hedero
Thank you! It was actually inspired by the smaller RV-3, RV-4, and RV-8 models, although its more of the size of an RV-10 or Extra 300.
Wow,this plane is gorgeous.I think mainly because it resembles an rv-7.I believe that's the correct one anyways.
I somehow pissed off the beast fleet doing stunts and somehow avoiding missiles they eventually shot my whole tail off and sent me spinning out of the sky into the ocean. I love the plane
@jamesPLANESii
Thanks lol. The Vans RV design was definitely a major inspiration for this.
