ESF-231C Petrel
Patch Link
New Upgrade in the Works: There is a newer version that is going to be released. The engines are nerfed along with fuel to keep the plane somewhat realistic. Despite the change in engine performance stability and handing has been greatly increased in the new version that will be coming out.
Updated: Not too many cosmetic updates, minus the airspeed tubes, tail struts, tail-hook, and the antenna. Most of the work has been done internally on the design. For starters, I've removed a lot of redundant parts so it runs better on mobile. The engines have been nerfed, and moved a little, but the aerodynamics have been improved with a slight sacrifice to stability. I fixed the aircrafts tendency to pitch downward at Mach 2 and spin out of control at low speed dogfights. The aircraft has been made more stable at lower speeds to fit it's role as a carrier-based multi-role fighter. Wing pylons have been added with a 500lb WEIGHT LIMIT on each wing, giving it a 1000lb payload capacity increase. It's Gauss cannons have been replaced with conventional multi-cannons decreasing range, but increased versatility for dogfighting. Folding wings have been added for storage on a carrier. Upvote it you want but really this is me giving the community the best I can build, and refining a design.
I'm always improving my designs. If you have an idea for a suggestion, just let me know.

Description
Type: Carrier Based Fighter
Role: Multi-role
After testing the Alpha version of the ESF-231, the Petrel which it was named thanks to its long nose was made into a multi-role fighter to be launched from a carrier. It was built for use by the Acadian Republic Air Force, as well as other allied forces as a faster, lighter and cost effective version of the ESF-417 VTOL fighter.
With an upgraded payload capacity rated at 1000lbs the Petrel is still able to maintain it's CG being just in front of it's center of lift, allowing this aircraft to still engage other aircraft despite carrying a heavy load. Being tail less, the aircraft is fairly easy to fly relying on it's broom tail configuration at low speeds.
Pilots who use this aircraft are trained to ambush targets from far away or with quick passes. With it's ability to fly well above MACH2 the aircraft can in some cases outrun a missile rather than just turn an evade.
Builders Notes
As mentioned above the limit to each wing is 500lbs. I made the CG as close to the center of lift as possible to give this thing it's agility. Technically it could carry a lot more, but I'd figured I'd build a strike fighter before sacrificing agility. As a carrier based aircraft, I've tuned this thing to handle well at lower speeds. Sorry if it seems like I'm just re-releasing a design, but I want the community to get the best of my builds. A lot of my time is going to building an Eagle, and not the kind you'd think.

damn this looks really good. all i'd say is the inlets should be bigger and those flaps next to the exhausts could do more (act as control surfaces and have differential brake yaw) if there was more funky trees code.
@EchoWhiskey11 i was able to do it, not very stable yet but don't worry, you still can improve :)
To anyone testing out this design, if you are able to pull of a post-stall maneuver, if you could please let me know. I was able to do it on my tests, but it would be cool to see if someone else is able to do it too. Thanks,
@ALRX thanks for the feedback on the flight.
Underated build, design is good, handling is good, acceleration a bit unrealistic, but overall very good :)
