ALPACA (KT10-A)
YAMASHIRO ALPACA (KT10-A, 2026) 4WD, 5MT
Kei truck
Rank: I
USER MANUAL
NOTICE
- The truck starts in neutral. If the engine revs but the wheels do not move, the truck is in neutral.
- Gear stick is not implemented as a physical control as there is no good way to use it in flat screen mode (cannot see the stick), or VR mode (no feeling of physical grooves).
- Steering assist (reduction of steering angle at higher speeds) does not apply to VR steering wheel controls.
- Handbrake is not suitable for use at speed. (Jandrewson gib wheel brake input controller pls)
- Nurburgring test version with different gearing and suspension settings
CONTROLS
Normal game mode:
Pitch - Engine throttle
Roll - Steering
Yaw left/right - Shift down/up
Activate1 - 4WD mode
Activate2 - Low range gearing
Activate3 - Linear steering mode (for external wheel use)
Activate4 - Handbrake
Activate5 - Pickup bed light
Activate6 - Fog lights
Activate7 - Headlights
VR game mode:
Steering wheel left side trigger: Brake
Steering wheel left side grip: Shift down
Steering wheel right side trigger: Engine throttle
Steering wheel right side grip: Shift up
Functions only available through physical actions:
- Doors, tailgates and tailgate supports
- Indicator and hazard lights
- Sun visors
COCKPIT
In addition to the steering wheel, the indicators and headlights can be controlled. Kei trucks, including this one, usually do not come with a tachometer from the factory, so an aftermarket one is bolted on.
Many other controls can be found in the center. (Note that shifting gears is done using Yaw or grip controls on the steering wheel.)
EDIT GUIDE
Material guide:
0: Body
2: Rims
10, 11, 19: Interior
18: Main displays
21: Rear decal
Recommended body colors:
(#104060, m=0.90, s=0.50)
Dark blue (copy of NOCTURNE BLUE ZJP)
(#C8FFD4, m=0.90, s=0.50)
Mint (copy of ICE GREEN G62)
(#FF6000, m=0.90, s=0.50)
Orange (copy of TONIC ORANGE R71)
(#C0C0C0, m=0.90, s=0.50)
Silver (copy of BRIGHT SILVER S28)
Funky trees:
- Steering assist: In
InputSteering
setter, change 5 to another value. A greater value will lower steering at high speeds. - Gear ratios: Change values in
GearRatio
setter. The first value is the final drive ratio, so try it first. - Engine performance: Change
MaxEngineInput
setter for torque, andMinEngineInput
for engine braking strength. These are defined as a series of straight lines.
DEV COMMENTS
Exceedingly boxy small truck built according to Japanese keijidosha (light car) specifications. As a small car enjoyer for a while, I finally went to make one.
Completed sketchbook page
Most specifications are taken from the two current designs, the Daihatsu Hijet Truck (S500, S510), and the Suzuki Carry (DA16T). The gear ratios (except for final drive) are taken from the somewhat cringe Hijet 5MT system. The torque curve is slightly modified from the Midget II in Tokyo Xtreme Racer Drift 2, so that it has more of a hill. From my provided Desmos graph, you can find peak power at 5100 RPM. The overall feel of driving a kei truck references the Suzuki Carry (older one) in the same game. My truck is slightly better in some ways like bed length and turning radius, but I don't have to deal with any actual engineering.
Car engines in SP produce torque proportional to input. However, from early testing, it appears that the maximum torque is greater at low speeds, before a constant response is reached at high speeds.
There is a very cool (subjectively) tailgate logic system and chain link animation. I made it by writing a very simple chain simulator to generate keyframes and using Excel to produce equations. Remember to use at least 3 s.f. for all multipliers. Surprisingly, they have a noticeable effect even for coefficients as small as 1e-6.
I built with a lot of precise geometry, starting with the frame and bed. I learnt more tricks and established some of my own design conventions for the cabin front, so it is more detailed and also looks different in terms of corner shapes. I've always noticed that different surfaces at the same angle will blend together, so rounded corners are used wherever possible. However, close to the end, my phone was starting to lag and I was also running the risk of reaching high performance cost, so the quality of later objects may be lower.
License plates and the rear decal are imported using SP Label Converter by PlanariaLab, using the Binary mode. These images are very lightweight, but I still adhere to my old recommendation of 10,000 pixels per image.
In addition, the license plates use work from ItsNickkk on GitHub. Large numbers are mostly as generated, but I redrew the small text to make them work better on the Binary label mode. It doesn't actually have Yamanashi as a registration office, but it has Fuji-san.
Of course I took it on the Nordschleife, but due to having no downforce and a very aggressive front grip setup, it will flip or spin a lot if you even just look at any of the bumps there (which you usually can't see).
No lore dump as this build doesn't have any. However, the ALPACA truck line has existed long before the company LLAMA HEAVY INDUSTRIES entered the truck market.
Finally, using the name "Yamashiro" is a joke on two levels. I refuse to explain it, but will still state that it requires basic knowledge of both the land and sea. This company may or may not return in the future - it is one of few engineering companies in the timeline to exist both long before and long after the great shift in the world order.

i like how everything is interactable, especially the blinkers
@ChallengerHellcat probably. On most vehicles, the CoM is on or slightly above the frame level when unloaded
it's just low CoM? @hpgbproductions
@ChallengerHellcat no
is there a gyro somewhere? handling is too stable @hpgbproductions
This is awesome
@hpgbproductions you can do it?
@alexJgameYTukraine000000 it's not possible to convert this model, but I can make an extremely potato version
@LITVYAK013INDUSTRIES please search online for more information
You can get the link on mobile as well, I don't know specifics for each platform
LOW PART PLS
@hpgbproductions
So this must be from a computer, right?
@LITVYAK013INDUSTRIES just upload your images on your server, then get the link. The link should end in whatever file format you used, like .jpg or .png
On DESKTOP APP: Tap on image, click on view original, and copy the URL.
Use a search engine to get information specific to your device.
@hpgbproductions
Ok, its ready, now, what I have to do?
@LITVYAK013INDUSTRIES make your own
@hpgbproductions
Can you recommend me a private discord server please?
@LITVYAK013INDUSTRIES you need to use an image hosting service to get your image on the internet first, before you can put an image link
I use a private discord server to host my images
@hpgbproductions
thaks, but, how I can put my own screenshots in my post.
The build quality is impeccable. The attention to detail, the corrugation, pockets, grooves, are really beautifully defined. Utmost impressive build.
@LITVYAK013INDUSTRIES see this
I have a question, how do you make your texts so organized and colorful, and how do you put photographs in the text, it would be great if you could share the text because I don't know how to do it, thank you and I hope you answer my questions.
@DatRoadTrainGuy19 oh.
.
i completely misunderstood that...
.
yea like that
@teddyone02 i was responding to your comment that said "i would waste money on this rather than buying unnecessary shit" and then i made a follow up comment that is supposed to say unnecesary like an american suv thats what im trying to say
Nice truck
@DatRoadTrainGuy19 no
.
i like kei cars more, I don't want to waste money on a american suv
