DESCRIPTION: Cessna introduced a retractable landing gear version of the 172 in 1980 and named it the Cutlass 172RG.

The Cutlass featured a variable-pitch, constant-speed propeller and a more powerful Lycoming O-360-F1A6 engine of 180 horsepower (130 kW). The 172RG sold for about US$19,000 more than the standard 172 of the same year and produced an optimal cruise speed of 140 knots (260 km/h), compared to 122 knots (226 km/h) for the contemporary 160 horsepower (120 kW) version.[15]

The 172RG did not find wide acceptance in the personal aircraft market because of higher initial and operating costs accompanied by mediocre cruising speed, but was adopted by many flight schools since it met the specific requirements for "complex aircraft" experience necessary to obtain a Commercial Pilot certificate (the role for which it was intended), at relatively low cost. Between 1980 and 1984 1177 RGs were built, with a small number following before production ceased in 1985.[citation needed]

While numbered and marketed as a 172, the 172RG was actually certified on the Cessna 175 type certificate.

Great plane, flies really well. But the actual Cessna 172 is only type certificates for a two blade propeller.

@BaconAircrafts Landing gear and windows are finished:
    1, 2, 3, 4, 5

I'm going to cheap out on the retract doors on the front and also I'm going to leave the landing lights on the wing (they are in cutouts in the bottom of the front of the fuselage on the real one), because it would be a lot of work without adding much to the design.

Now proceeding with the cockpit, I've already made the cameras higher and angled them down by 10°, as I couldn't see anything outside of the cockpit before. :D
The problem is that the chokes would have to be higher normally, but the instrument panel is in the way and I don't want to mess with it. Maybe I'll just leave the chokes at the height they are at right now.

@BaconAircrafts I hope you're not afraid to hear that I am currently working on making your design more scale. Especially the windows and the landing gear will be way more accurate when I'm finished. I might also get my hands on the cockpit, making the chokes work more like real ones and giving each seat a seperate set of rudder pedals.
Also I've done small adjustments on the front.

Here's how it looks like after half a day of work:
    1, 2, 3

I hope you appreciate it. :)
