| Tiran Industries | Finch F.2 |
Do note, there's a slight issue when taking off. The aircraft may veer off to the side as you pick up speed. I was never able to solve it. The way to remediate this is to gently use the Yaw controls to stabilise it while pitching up (or using trim) to take off. It takes a bit of practice.
The Finch II is a Winolian Supersonic jet fighter aircraft designed and manufactured by Tiran Industries. It was the first Jet fighter in Winolian Service capable of exceeding Mach 1in level flight at higher altitudes. The Finch II is notable for its service in IDA operations and as one of the most successful fighters of its time, due to its adaptability to many roles. Its most prominent use would be as a light bomber during the Vietnam war. Much of its design was based on experiences gained from the Winolian Border wars.
In 1955, Tiran Industries was given a government grant to proceed with their design for a new supersonic fighter. Till this point, Winolia only operated imported jet aircraft and the more advanced designs being developed by the Altica Harvey Corporation and Dastin-Dejen joint fighter would not be available as early as expected. Tiran used their extensive knowledge of the design and operation of the F-86 Sabre to produce a design, Prototype 12-1, in just half a year. The prototype flew in 1956 and entered production in the first quarter of 1957.
Despite considerable troubles with the early delta-wing designs, particularly the lack of area ruling, and troubles sourcing an engine, the performance of the fighter made it popular with its pilots. It would serve well into the Winolian civil war, after which it was phased out from service.
Tiran industries had been experimenting with delta-wing designs using wind tunnel models since the ‘40s and poured their vast knowledge into their design. Optimising it for sustained flight, they envisioned it as a capable strike fighter and interceptor, not as a dogfighter. In later variants, subtle modifications made it capable of taking on any role; it would be considered one of the first true multirole aircraft.
The greatest weakness of the design was also one of its early strengths. Its nose-mounted inlet allowed for excellent engine performance but meant that once fighter radar came into play, the Finch II would be unable to mount one. Attempts were made to remediate this but the costs were considered too high to be worthwhile. Aside from that, the other noted weakness was its limited range which became an issue in later years as more powerful jets came into service.

@ChiChiWerx Yes, it ended up being quite inspired by the super sabre, although the original design was closer to the MiG-15. Thanks.
Fun build, I like it. Seems to be modeled after the Super Sabre’s history and fuselage, with the F-102’s wing.
Epic
@MSGamezYXZ360 Thanks!
So cool! Like the fictional info aswell bro keep it up:)
