Bandit P-48 Pummeler

Auto Credit Based on Pilotmario's Pummeler Attack A-1I

The P-48 Pummeler is a Paternian long-range fighter aircraft designed by Bandit Corporation. With careful aerodynamics and a large 2,000hp radial, it is easily one of the fastest and most maneuverable in its type. The eight .50 caliber machine guns are easily capable of putting down any opponent, especially with special HEIAP ammunition. These factors, in combination with the aircraft's long range, made it a very dangerous opponent. The aircraft would remain in service as the A-1 Pummeler attack aircraft until the 2000s.

@TemDesBur Heinkel He 178 flew in 1939. Jet engines were developed independently by Frank Whittle in the UK and Hans vol Ohain in Germany.

The concept of a turboprop was developed first by Alan Arnold Griffin in 1928. The first turboprop engine built was the Jendrassik Cs-1 in 1940, developed by Gyrogy Jendrassik in Hungary.

As you have assumed the role of Austria-Hungary, which the Kingdom of Hungary is a successor to, then I believe it is safe that you can add turboprops on your aircraft in 1940.

@PyrusEnderhunter a little faster than a spitfire? a spitfire was only 360 mph, and that was a later varient, 480 is way too fast. Keep that up and i'll introduce turboprops

@PINK In 1939, it would be about 350mph before the improved radial engine came out.

@Liquidfox It's like an M1911: it forgot to become obsolete.

I think you could use the whole Pummeler series to see how my build quality progressed.
