FT Guided Bomb KLGB-500
KLGB-500
Funky Trees Laser Guided Bomb
Domestically developed by Ku Aerospace, the first laser-guided precision munition designed for CAS to complement the KGB-3000 TV-guided bomb. It is simple, functional, and reliable, with great emphasis placed on ease of installation on other platforms! No part of this bomb is guided by gyros or in-game default missiles!!!.
Player usage
Fly within range of any ground target, and roughly line up the projected bomb aim point with the target
Press the fire weapons button (Alt key on PC) and watch the bomb go
You must keep the ground target selected for the duration of the bomb's flight in order for it to guide in correctly!
You may switch your selected target mid-flight and the bomb will try its best to adjust course to hit its new target.

Stats
Weight: 489 lbs
TNT equivalent: 500 lbs
Track rate: 10 degrees/second
Maximum Launch Altitude: 30,000ft above target
Features and abilities
- Not guided by default in-game missile or gyro
- Semi-active guidence
- Accurate and reliable (within it's limitations)
- Multiple bombs can be launched and target the same target
- Able to switch targets mid-flight
- Low part count (31 per bomb)
- Easy (comparatively) to install onto other aircraft
- Realistic performance
- Bomb has no aircraft collision
Limitatons and problems
- The bomb requires that a target be selected for the duration of it's flight time in order to guide properly, or else it will just behave like a dumb bomb.
- The bomb's performance is dependent on the performance of your device, where a low FPS may affect the guidance of the bomb.
- The bomb has a hard time orientating itself when pointed straight down.
- The bomb has a hard time stabilizing itself at altitudes above 30,000 feet.
- The bomb will guide itself in a completely random direction if the bomb has to turn past or in between the heading 360 and 0. Simply try not to launch the bomb at or close to those headings and it should be fine.
- The bomb may not go off when hitting the ground, this happens at random and for a variety of reasons, such as the bomb skipping the ground, the shell destroying itself but not the bomb, and or the entire bomb straight up flying through the terrain.
Notes
This was the single fastest turnaround time for a funky trees creation that I've had. From sketching up the blueprint on a piece of receipt to making the installation manual, it took only 8 days. This bomb is aimed to be as simple to install and reverse engineer as possible since people has been asking me how to mount my weapons to their build for forever. Follow the installation guide to the T and you should have no problem getting the thing to blow up on convoys or ships in about 10 min maximum. Since I also put all of my code in one neat document, I hope that the more coding savvy people would easily understand how the code and the guidance works.
