@JoshuaW I am involved in 2 collaborations currently that will keep me busy for at least 2 more weeks. But after that I might be up for something if you have a great idea.
@Gestour hey Gestour, knowing that you are working on a brand new function MOD, so glad that we can get something other than map or designer background. Do you work with collaborates or do you feel like one? I would be so happy if I could do any help.
@Gestour Thx for your reply.
Sad that you don't have idea for rotating, I will try to figure it out later and maybe ask the Jundroo devs if necessary. My new flight control is about to release (with commented source codes) and I will call you then.
I personally am not very interested in 3D-modeling, all I care is flying, but I do want to know how you managed to make displays on a part, like in your CCTV and gauges mod. It seems not an "easy stuff" for me at all.
I don't know how to rotate a part of the plane without using one of the inputs. It's probably through SimplePlanes Reflection, which I don't understand yet.
I am also not a computer student, just a 3d modeling enthusiast, slowly learning a little scripting through trial and error.
I use the serviceprovider a lot (just like you did), to activate an effect of some sort. (Particle System, Audio Sources, Textures, Cameras, UI, meshs), all the standard Unity 3D stuff.
I'm not really sure what to tell you.
The Unity manual is the place I go to figure stuff out, or youtube. There is a lot of information out there.
If you have specific questions about the easy stuff, I may be able to answer them.
@Gestour As I'm not a student in computer-related major, I know so little for what I need in modding, now everything I know to do is getting and setting some datas using ServiceProvider.Instance.PlayerAircraft , others are just some basic calculating using C#. None of my friends are good at this field and the Jundroo devs seem to be too busy, so I came for your help, as it's seen by everyone that you have made so many great mods. Would you mind showing me some of your source codes? That would be really helpful for me to learn modding.
@Gestour I saw your reply so here for conversation. As you can see I use the VTOL input to control the canards in my flight control mod, which makes VTOL input not available for other things. And I'm trying to improve the program for a plane with canards, horizontal tails and vector thrust nozzles. That will need at least 4 controlling channels (1 for canards, 1 for tails, 2 for VCT), but with my current method I could only get 2 (Trim and VTOL), so I need other ways to rotate the wings. Maybe use "transform" to a particular part? I have totally no idea how to do.
