A.V.Arc Maplewind

405 YeastBoi  5.1 years ago

The Aviarc Maplewind was a carrier-capable, supersonic, multirole light fighter that served with Canarvia and its allies around the world. The next brainchild of Niifle Tsarmi after her breakaway success with the Arrowdawn, it was an effort made by A.V.Arc's UNICORN Division to get oversized turbofans into a light fighter, and with a dry thrust of 120,000 pounds, the Maplewind outperformed nearly every other fighter upon its introduction.

The sample here is dressed in CNAF Two-Tone Twilight (dark grey, and black, basically).

VTOL slider - folding wings. Neutral position is flight-ready. Bottom position is folded down, though I'm not sure why you would want to do that. Top position is folded up.

1 - brake parachute

2 - arresting hook

4 - spotlights

5 - anti-collision lights

6 - landing and taxi lights

7 - navigation lights

The Maplewind was my first attempt to put BFE300s in a fighter, though the first iteration of this plane looks nothing like it does now. While the fuselage isn't based on any real fighters, the shape of the wings are inspired by those on the F-22 Raptor, and the triple mounts for the missiles are based on the double mounts on the F-18 Hornet.
