LB-92 'Fookaburra'
Description
Developed in 1992, the LB-92 'Fookaburra', affectionately dubbed after the kookaburra by its pilots, is a standout in the aviation world. This single-engine, single-seater turboprop is built for long-distance travel, reaching impressive speeds of up to 660 km/h. With a fuel capacity of 2,553 liters thanks to the fuel hump behind the cockpit and a .233 HP-to-weight ratio, it’s designed to go the distance while maintaining a solid performance.
Its combination of range and payload has turned heads, notably within the airforce. They're currently testing the Fookaburra for a potential low-cost reconnaissance and special forces variant, exploring its versatility beyond civilian use.
