Rocker Repeating Rifle
The Paternian analogue to the Winchester rifle, the similarities are clear. Like the Winchester, it saw numerous iterations and variants over decades which modify every aspect of the rifle. While not the first magazine-fed repeating firearm, it was a combination of reliability, firepower, and capacity, which defined it. With this rifle, it was feasible for an individual or small group to defend themselves against a force which significantly outnumbered them. This particular variant is a Model 1874 Russian Cavalry Carbine. Known to Paternian collectors as the Cossack Carbine, 2,000 such carbines were ordered by the Russian government for cavalry use. The main difference was that it was chambered in the then-standard .44 Russian, the black powder ancestor to .44 Special and .44 Magnum.
