Douglas TBD Devastator - Torpedo Challenge
Douglas TBD Devastator
The Douglas TBD Devastator was an American torpedo bomber of the United States Navy. Ordered in 1934, it first flew in 1935 and entered service in 1937. At that point, it was the most advanced aircraft flying for the Navy and possibly for any navy in the world. The Devastator performed well in early battles but earned notoriety for a catastrophic performance during the Battle of Midway in which 41 Devastators recorded zero torpedo hits with only six surviving to return to their carriers. Vastly outclassed in both speed and maneuverability by the Mitsubishi Zero fighters they faced, most of the force was wiped out. The sacrifice of the TBDs however, was not in vain. The TBDs persistent attacks delayed the Imperial Navys ability to launch a full force assault on the U.S. Task Force and drew Zero fighters away from their Carriers. This allowed Squadrons of SBD Dauntless Dive Bombers to attack and destroy four Japanese Carriers, effectively ending Imperial Japans expansion into the Eastern Pacific.

@TMach5 Oh,yeah.I think so
Most likely. Simple planes is a big resource hog. @Simpleplaneschenhao
Hey, friend, the control of your plane often gets stuck when it is running in my mobile phone. Is it the problem with my mobile phone
There are no moving control surfaces, no flaps, no guns even, or nothing of that kind. The plane is barebones, and the structure itself looks a little too... Chonky.
Nevertheless, those are some nice decals, I honestly struggle with making them!
@TMach5 can it be mobile friendly
I’m already working on something similar. I will tag you when it’s ready@Fdbrocks
Can I request you make an enterprise with 2 or 3 of these on it
Amazing just amazing
