Junkers Ju 52

109k WalrusAircraft  9.4 years ago

The Junkers Ju 52 (nicknamed Tante Ju ("Aunt Ju") and Iron Annie) was a German trimotor transport aircraft manufactured from 1931 to 1952. It saw both civilian and military service during the 1930s and 1940s. In a military role, it flew with the Luftwaffe as a troop and cargo transport and briefly as a medium bomber. The Ju 52 continued in postwar service with military and civilian air fleets well into the 1980s. (source - Wikipedia)

This aircraft rotates at low speeds and flys easily across the island. To land, power down a minute before you land since it takes time for the engine to cycle off.

Walrus Jr. designed the airframe, and Walrus Sr. painted and modded some parts.

@WalrusAircraft I could -REALLY- do with some nice cockpits...It just exhausting hand building each cockpit when I want to hide the real one, and whenever I handbuild the cockpits it doesn't work in cockpit view because I have to hide the REAL cockpit inside the fusilage of the plane. (In other words, some cockpit packs submissions would be very appreciated)

@Nickasaurusrex - I've forwarded the idea with the Devs of taking the explosion from that SW game and incorporating it into the SP game. I also brought up the idea of including a slider for making a part more explosive. Basically, the devs can reuse the code there. As for the banana and bomb, you can mod those in Maya and bring them into the Unity engine, but not the main game. It would be a mod that is hidden from most of the community.

@planelover400 - I've been talking to Walrus jr. about that idea. He has been spending time in Maya over the last few days, but I'd like to attempt that birds.

@WalrusAircraft hey science you are the mod king I have a real challenge for you. Take the objects from simple wheels (banana, bomb, and hat) and upload it? Sw has the same editor so it couldn't be too hard....

For a mod request make a simple plane with lots of mods like my minijet, as long as it isn't just a cockpit and is minijet+ mod requests it's ok by the rules @WalrusAircraft
