THANKS FOR GOLD!

massive shoutout to @Solent, who upvote bombed me till 5.000 Points.

In 1985, when Microsoft Windows 1.0 just came out, Thundermax, a LowQualityRepublican aircraft company, was thinking about making a brand new airliner. It would be equipped with Glass-Cockpit Avionics, but it wouldn't be the ordinary screens you see in a normal plane. All of the Screens we're powered by Windows 1.0. It would also feature more advanced stuff, like other aircraft on radar and a G-meter(?), just in case the pilot decided to do a loop.

10 years later and the Thundermax MP-2 series started production. the first aircraft to be built was the MP-2A, a regional airliner made for flights across islands. this aircraft would feature engines that we're too efficient for the time, and large circular windows, this was to give the passengers a bigger perspective of the outside.

However, they later had to face problems related to weight balancing and structural stability. The first problem is, after tons of simulations, it was noticed that the stall speed was really high and the aircraft was unable to climb. It took a well long time for them to realize that all the weight was coming from the engines, and to solve this problem they had to decrease the weight of the engines, therefore using lighter materials. The other problem they were facing is the instability of the main landing gear. Due to the lack of struts, on a hard landing or a high G maneuver the servo of the landing gear would frequently bend from left to right, this has caused many crash landings where the gear would simply fall off the wing, unfortunately the FAA's neglicence still allowed this plane to be flown today.

After the landing gear crisis, Thundermax began building the MP-2B in 1999, this plane featured stronger and more fuel efficient engines, a more stable landing gear and additional seats in the cabin. This allowed the plane to fly more passengers over longer distances, and allowed safer landings. After the MP-2B rolled out, the MP-2A was put out of production and many Airlines began ordering the new model.

This leads to today, where even the biggest airlines fly this model all across their land.
