"Nothing Else Comes Close."

It's been a while.

This plane you see here is the result of four years of work—though, admittedly, much of that time was spent procrastinating.

DarthAbhinav and I started this as our second collaboration project. However, he became busy with life and couldn't continue. I, too, faced my own challenges, constantly picking up and abandoning the project.

Until last year, when I finally decided to finish it.

There were countless delays, tests, and, of course, more procrastination. The plane underwent a complete overhaul as I kept adapting it to new updates. What you see here now is far better than what we had initially envisioned.

Funny enough, I never even planned the canopy mechanism. One day, I stumbled upon a video of it and thought, "Why not give it a shot?" To my surprise, it worked almost flawlessly after a couple of tries! Then I searched the SP site for other F-5s or F-20s to see if anyone had tried this before. Turns out, this might be the first time someone has designed an F-5 or F-20 canopy like this!

The cockpit section was the main reason for my procrastination. I spent so much time working on it that it felt like I was losing both my brain cells and my eyesight.

ollie's F-5 was perhaps the major inspiration for the flight instruments in the cockpit, and I even borrowed his missiles and the ejection handles—because, honestly, I was too lazy to make my own lol!

And now, here it is—my magnum opus. The culmination of everything I've learnt throughout my journey in SimplePlanes.

This may very well be my last post, as life has gotten busier than ever.

Alright, enough sad talk. let's get down to the real thing!
