Auto Credit Based on DustyT33's The Future Bird

it will leave the ground instantly with no engine or fuel needed. just move vtol all the way forward and gently pull the nose up. It is ready to lift off before you are. adjust trim so gear goes up torwards tail. This is a modified version of DustyT33's future bird. he has a brilliant wing concept here that I just had to see if it could lift as I thought it would. be sure to check his out. enjoy

    All I can say is
    Oof... @Zyvx

Okay, I goofed. It turns out that reducing the rotator to .01 prevents lift off. But, the rotator also reduces speed considerably (say a third) at high altitude. I'm experimenting with manually adjusting the rotator with VTOL. That way you keep the easy short take off without loosing the speed.

@Zyvx You have to see this: https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/QgAriy/Ornithopter-battleship

@Zyvx OH, if you add some antihedral (that win dihedral pointing down) to your wings you can greatly increase the lift-so much so that my Swift needs trim just to fly level.

@Zyvx I will take off with 0,1, I checked. You can also use a longer, thinner wing-that's what I did for the Swift. They tend to flap a bit faster. Check out my Fork Tailed Swift (it's a successor to this plane) to see what I mean.

I will definitely check out DustyT33s new bird. Always good to see what the rest of the flock is up to.

@atgxtg I appreciate the offer, funny thing is that 10 degrees on the rotator is what gives it the forward momentum at the start. I actually plan on doing a different wing design because this design is DustyT33's. I want to alter mine to increase its load capacity. I might even do a totally different wing design that I been wanting to do. DustyT33 got a version 2 of his future bird, it's pretty good.

Aha! It's the rotator that connects to the wing. I used Overload to reduce the angle from 10 degrees to 0.1 degrees and no more wobble. Let me know if you need a custom rotator.

@atgxtg I think the wobble is from a lot of mass connected to the fuselage by moving parts that I noticed anytime you have skinny parts holding bigger parts it creates wobble. I used this to my advantage when I made my walking lizard. His feet cause a bend in his leg to occur where there is no hinge, and as a result he walks better, lol.

@Zyvx Do you know why the wings "wobble" back and forth a bit at slow speeds?

Congratulations! You achieved VTO! Flapping Wing Fliers are a real thing now in SP. Maybe you should create a "Flapper" tag for search purposes.

@ACEPILOT109 thanks tremendous for the compliment and upvote. I'm trying to get this series to lead up to a walking flying flexible dragon, if possible, it will be my most challenging task. Thanks again.
