The CV2000-FS1 “Sniper” is a unique fire support and combat support vehicles developed and designed by Marathon Motors, AOI Advanced Technologies and Bishoftu land systems to take advantage of a particular market niche created by several armed forces and in an effort to challenge K.Corp's IFV-22 Negev-M for market share.

Based on a modified CV20 platform, the Sniper’s mission is to provide direct fire support to mechanized infantry units in an organic fashion as part of a highly mobile weapons platform force. As such, it was able to free itself from the issue of carrying troops and be turned into a dedicated and specialised weapons platform with a mission and a purpose.

At a baseline weight of 40 tonnes, the tracked Sniper is heavily armoured against most contemporary IFVs and other fire support vehicles. Its frontal arc is capable of deflecting shots from 105mm shell and certain older penetrator rounds. Due to its armour makeup and layered use of ceramics in the composite space, the armour is more than capable fo protecting against ATGMs. The most armoured segment is the L-shaped crew compartment which is rated to provide protection from modern Kinetic penetrators, although no official values were released.

The vehicle is designed with ERA in mind to offer extra protection. It is also fitted with a similar APS suite to that designed for the Anbessa-2 and carries 12 APS launcher in two 2x3 modules.

The CV200-FS1 Sniper makes use of a revolutionary unmanned turret which, within the hull, is located in a self-contained compartment with a non-electrical safety blow-out system and ammo stowage system. The main gun is a 105mm smoothbore gun. It is also armed with a 14.5mm coaxial gun and a 7.62mm RWS operated by the commander.

Sniper is powered by the same engine used in the CV20-IFV in initial models, with later models given an enhanced 8 cylinder V engine, the Scania DC16, locally manufactured as part of a hybrid-electric propulsion system. Due to its weight, and other factors, it is tracked rather than wheeled.

The sighting and information systems used on all CV2000 series vehicles, and CV20, are Taktix-3 certified and networked compatible with all older systems, as part of the Winolian modified 5th generation battlespace. The sights consist of a third-generation commander’s panoramic sight with day/night sighting and zoom, thermal optics and image intensification as well as full IFF. The gunner's sight is also third-generation, only lacking any sort of movement independent from the turret.

If you pull out the turret ring, you can see a rudimentary representation of the loading system (this will not exist in the reduced part version).

The crew compartment does exist but isn't modelled too well so I left it but chose not to showcase it. This is where I’ll improve in my own time.

2-axis stabilisation is becoming standard on all my tanks and turreted vehicles (that should have it). As such, settings are still being fine-tuned.

Co-axial and emergency sight aren’t shown on this model.

@Itirv123 Fair enough, fair enough. I do agree. Part of the reason is that building custom tracks would make the part count skyrocket. Tradeoffs man, tradeoffs.

@Zanedavid Ah, that can easily be done. I'll upload a version with the tracks and lights removed.

@Dinoairplanes Which vehicle? I haven't played Arma 3. Would be interested to see it.

and thanks for the upvotes, all of you.

@Dastin I wasn’t ordering you to not use mods it’s just way cooler when you don’t i I think you could get over 1.3 million subs or likes if you do. All I’m saying is if you put your mind to it you can do anything.

P.S. Mods just make it easier XD

Would much appreciate that, even just removing tracks and lights, don’t need replacing @Dastin

@Zanedavid Thanks. I'll look into replacing the tracks and lights at a later date for an unmodded version.

@Itirv123 Originally I wasn't going to reply but I don't see what the problem with using mods is. I understand it limits builds from IOS users but it also simplifies some of the building process for certain builds. I have lots of builds that don't use mods which you can freely download.

But don't tell me what I should and shouldn't use, thank you.
