P-42 Mustang
History
Commissioned in 1944 by the United States Air Force, or USAF for short, the P-42 Mustang was superior in many ways to the German fighters. It included 4 torpedoes capable of sinking German Destroyers, and in small squadrons a whole fleet of ships. Its high maneuverability and 50 Cal Browning guns allowed it to out-perform all opposing fighters in dogfights.
As well as its torpedoes, the P-42 had a 250 pound bomb attached to the underside to take out all ground threats when bombers were unavailable. Although it has the bomb, it was mainly used as a navy fighter due to its large capacity of fuel, crucial for flying long-distance over oceans and seas. Although it did miss World War 2, its production was continued in case of a future World War.
