To land use Hover (AG2) at anything below 30% power. Remember to turn off AG2 once you are in FLIGHT mode (AG1).

Description
Type: Light patrol craft
Crew: 1 Pilot
Weapons: 20 mm Multi-cannon, 6 Guardians

Manufacturer: Avenel Flight

Overview:

Continuing Avenel's futuristic themes, this fighter gets its name from the Charioteer Constellation, or "Auriga" in Latin. The Charioteer doesn't mind for stealth, though it has capabilities, it's clearly not too concerned with hiding. Rather than following military conventions and design, it is the principle of form over function, a statement, and it the right hands, a very formidable fighter.

Builders Notes
I've been out for a while from simple planes, and I'm about to disappear again for a month or so due to the funs of work. In the meantime, I wanted to post a fighter that I use when I'm away on mobile. Conveniently crammed into less that 400 parts, this fighter is mobile friendly. If you've seen my past builds, I made the 231 a couple years back, this is an upgrade that never made it to post, and with all the updates to the game, I felt it's time it finally saw the world.

If you're an Elite Dangerous player, then the inspiration for this thing is kind of obvious. I wanted something that didn't look military. I removed my original weird spider leg landing gear and replaced it with normal landing gear for the rest of the community, though just a heads up, this plane works very well as a VTOL, and was built around that, so learning VTOL in this plane is very easy. At speeds below 300 knots, feel free to throw it into crazy maneuvers, things like the wings and interior are reinforced. Overall, this is meant to be a simple, and fun little side project, that is perfect for someone who wants to fly something a different.

@Redheadracer48 One thing I recommend is building generic airframes. Some days when I'm bored I'll just build a really rough model, and use it as a base for bigger builds. This plane is built on a rough model I made 2 years ago, and I just refine it till I think it's good. Building replicas is good to, especially if you want to get some real world basis for your designs. Other than that I think you well on your way with planes like the Excruciator, especially once you get a style you enjoy. For me I enjoy painfully laying down chrome accents and lights. If you ever need some tuning or recommendations, you can send it to people you trust to review you models. I'll sometimes send an unlisted design to a friend for tuning. Last thing I say is stick to your gut, and don't rate you're ability on Upvotes or fancy nameplates. Some people fall into the trap of chasing votes. Look forward to seeing more of your designs, let me know if you need help with anything.

@Tornait Thanks, by the looks of it, your already getting there. Your TA-1 is a good build, and I think if you go at it with a new perspective you might be surprised what you will make. I think that's the fun of designing something.
