THA-X3 Super Hawk
About 7 months ago, I built this as a fun little build to show off a V/STOL concept I had designed. I now have decided to revamp it with everything I have learned so far, and it is the most badass thing I have ever created, and the most detailed one at that. Almost every part moves, the aircraft is almost completely panelled, and the aircraft has some really advanced code in it to make things work.
Before I get to the controls and operation stuffs, here are some shout-outs to people I want to thank:
@ReinMcDeer for their FT code for the weapon bays
@ALRX for the engine nozzle on the main engine
@PapaKernels for testing, and helping out decide the screenshot to use
@Blue0Bull for inspiring me to design this in their Stealth Challenge
Now, you'll notice immediately that it resembles a YF-23 from the front. This honestly was kind of intentional.
It was based on these aircraft: YF-23 (speed and usability), F-22 (maneuverability and rear gear movement), F-35B (VTOL design), Su-34 (rear landing gear wheels), F-35C (front landing gear), X-02S (extendable wings), and the A-10 (front gun)
Anyways, onto the cool stuff.
In the year 2036, the THI's air force made this plane as a fast, long-range penetration heavy multirole. With two seats and VTOL capability, this aircraft could practically do anything. A massive internal weapons bay, as well as external allows for massive strikes against the enemy, and it also has extendable wings for added maneuverability, as well as 2D (pitch) vectoring. It also has an arresting hook for carrier landings, however, vertical landings are more common as this plane has terrible low-speed maneuverability.
It also is equipped with an Air-to-Air 25mm Dracon autocannon in the nose, and a 55mm Air-to-Ground Terror rotary cannon loaded with explosive depleted uranium shells.
Weapons:
- Terror 55mm Rotary cannon (behind stealth door)
- Dracon 25mm autocannon
- 6 SAAM (4 external, 2 inside)
- 4 Sidewinders (all inside)
- 2 Cleaver Multirole missiles (external)
- 3 500 pound bombs (internal)
Controls:
- AG1: Open all Air-to-Ground bays override
- AG2: Open all Air-to-Air bays override
- AG3: Arresting hook and lights
- AG6: Extend Wings
- AG7: VTOL mode (with gyro help)
- Yaw: Wheel steering
- VTOL down: Flaps (ailerons are deactivated, use yaw)
- Trim: Trim
FLIGHT NOTES:
VTOL Mode:
The engines are set to a unique number for when they start. The side F119 engines start at 0%, as they help with VTOL. The lift fans do as well, so long as AG7 is on. The main engine starts at 50%, and the afterburners start at 95%.
Use 40% thrust for take-off, and when you press 7 again to turn it off, the nose may rise straight up, or if you use flaps, it will stay level. At this point accelerate and level out. The plane has thrust vectoring, so it can move under no acceleration. Take off is easy in VTOL with this. Do not fear it tilting up or down.
I hope y'all enjoy!
Side Note:
- This is my original gold special, and I have finally brought it to y'all. I worked hard on this, the weapons automatically open when you select them, and it is super fun to fly. Just remember to be gentle on landings, the rear gear's rotator has a tendency to break on landing. Anyways, have fun flying!
- OH. And the main engine has four engines in it because it has four nozzles inside the main nozzle... this has no effect on thrust, and has a great effect on the heat signature

It's gonna be wayyy more realistic, especially now that I know how to make landing gear lol (my recent posts have been side projects. I have 2 almost done actual projects that will reflect that statement a lot better)
@OrderlyHippo HERE is the design
@OrderlyHippo aww, thanks, mate!!
I completely agree. I have a ton of designs I have been making lately
.
With some help from another user, Falkenwut, I also have a realistic blueprint for this aircraft I intend on remaking once 1.12 is finalized, and its gonna be a TON better
This is the kind of creativity I miss in simple planes. All of todays planes are replicas and feel super unsatisfying to fly. This is what what simple planes felt like in the early days. Functional planes with definitively unique flight characteristics. It’s a physics sim at heart. Gave me a hearty laugh when I saw the lift system. Creative and functional. Hard to find these gems.
@LieutenantSOT no prob . I did notice on my original comment a word was incorrectly corrected by autocorrect (I guess everyone makes mistakes even computer's) it was supposed to be well executed instead of we'll executed. In case u didn't notice it was an error
@LieutenantSOT cool tanks . I've never noticed that before. Oops
@Mattvan28 but thank you so much lol I worked hard on this
@Mattvan28 okay, cool!!
As this plane is a heavy multirole, it has the rotary cannon because I want it to have 3 roles. Air superiority/Multirole, Trainer, and then of course, CAS
.
Because I was already planning on rebuilding this aircraft, I don't mind what you do
And to upload it without making it visible to the public, on the upload screen, you click on the part that says public and it should change and say unlisted. I hope this helps :)
I will start with , love it . Its a unique design it's basic to look at but we'll executed where it matters . It also happens to be what I've tried and failed to produce a satisfying version. I built a ground attack version with your plane that is a successor to the a10 . I wanted to get permission to upload it because I only added a few design changes and rearranging of existing parts . If u want to test it first, then decide if I can use it , is the plan . If not I will keep it private out of respect . If you know of a way to send it to ya without me uploading it let me know cause I'd rather not upload it if I can avoid doing so .
@WiiMini thank you so much!
@LieutenantSOT nah, u deserve that.. ur plane is pretty cool
Thanks! @BlackThuNDR
@Grroro why, thank you!
Wow! I have to say you have been getting better and better at it! Good jon mate, keep up the good work.
@LieutenantSOT no prob
Thanks! @WorldofWarships @WisconsinStatePolice
Thanks! @DJ2keroni
@639076b3d178b932391551eba thanks!
awesome
Thanks! @ans @TheBlueRobotProduct
@AntiAirNuri why, thank you!
Wow- this is honestly really nice 🤨
Good job
@AtlasMilitaryIndustries huh. Interesting. Thank you for the information
@LieutenantSOT I've noticed the Wyvern resemblance. The three engines look very much like the XFA-33 Fenrir.
@AtlasMilitaryIndustries it is, however, slightly inspired by the Strike Wyvern (extendable wings)
