Howdy. I’m back. First, I would like to credit costr for the style of this build. This here aircraft is the Sealion, a deck based fighter from 1946. She can reach a maximum speed of 660 mph at around 30,000ft, but is slower than a dead sloth at sea level. Group 1 will fold the wings. Group 2 will extend the carrier arrestor gear. Group 3 will jettison your payload. The flaps retract automatically with the landing gear since most of us are a bit lazy. No prizes to whoever can guess what ‘trim’ is for. She’s not my best work, but we’re allowed three entries, so I might add some more detail soon... Enjoy!

@RAF1 i I reupload panzer und girl stug life with the new cannon
Oh ok. I personally prefer manual flaps to automatic ones but thats my opinion. This plane is really cool and I like the Costr theme you went for here. Good job!@RAF1
There is a beam that runs down the wing, which the flap is connected to. I simply rotated that beam to the same angle at which the flap is deployed.
@Hedero
It looks like a Supermarine Attacker. Not bad.
How did you deploy flaps in the editor?@RAF1
@RAF1 Welcome back !
@RAF1 I agree, it’s very late 40s! I also had that with my last plane I made and I still made it too manoeuvrable, partly because some other users were complaining it wasn’t manoeuvrable enough hahaha.
Ah, I’ll make sure to put a catapult dolly on the next version. And I totally know what you mean with maneuverability. In fact, I had to keep restraining myself from making this thing in a super-fighter a few times, but I think it has turned out pretty ‘40s ish on that front.
@Mustang51
I’m very happy you understood the whole not too manoeuvrable part hahaha. I have a feeling quite a few of the entries would kill their pilots if they turned hard lol. Since I know your making another I thought I’d give you a small tip though; it’s very cool to be able to see a proper catapult connection. Many tail dragged planes had a sort of bar which connected to their two front wheels that would connect to the catapult and it would drop off once the plane had taken off. That would be fantastic to see!
I’m glad you like it!
@Mustang51
Very nice! You acted like it wasn’t going to be good but it looks great! Thank you for your participation in the challenge!
Thanks!
