This was aircraft was designed as a Navy attack aircraft during WWII but due to development delays it didn't see operational use till 1948 in small numbers, it was soon replaced with the smaller and simpler Douglas AD Skyraider, though Maulers remained in service up until 1953 in reserve squadrons

I saw one of these in the Naval Air Museum in Pensacola.
Don't lie, call it what it is. You got a fat guy to sit on the wings of a corsair and renamed it.
