From The Archives

This is the Northern Starliner, made by myself towards the back end of 2020 and is effectively what I envisaged at the time to be a very fast sub-sonic propfan aircraft. Link here if you’re wondering what a propfan is.
At the time I simply drew upon my existing knowledge on aircraft design and ended up accidentally re-creating the Boeing Sonic Cruiser. I literally didn’t know that aircraft existed until about 6 months after I made this.
There’s nothing too fancy about the controls/features on this particular upload, but it’s an upload I keep coming back to and figured if I enjoyed flying it, other’s might too.

Addressing The Obvious

Is this me making a return to SimplePlanes after 1.5 years? Probably not just yet. I don’t want to start making promises I can’t keep as that hasn’t worked out well previously. I’m still settling into my new job (started the back end of last year) after what can only be described as a bit of a sh*tshow at my previous workplace, while simultaneously juggling the prospect of acquiring my first house, which I’ll hopefully be moving into within a couple weeks.
Regardless, it’s difficult not to notice the new updates and goodies that have appeared in the game since I last played it, which I’ll want to play about with at some point in the future. I just hope I haven’t fallen too far behind!
