TN #230, 7th Tactical Fighter Wing, Philippine Air Force

The Maya is a 2 seater trainer aircraft that is intended to replace the aging AS-211 Warriors. It is a trainer jet, yes, but it can carry more munitions than the predecessor.

The wings are utilized by the machine guns to store ammo, therefore necessitates the use of wingtip tanks. It also has seven hardpoints and a FLIR ball. The ball also automates the process of guiding the Paveway III bombs into the target, thereby easing the load of the WSO.

It also looks like a sick mix of the F-5, MB-339 and the BAe Hawk, so there's that.

Controls:

AG1 - Master switch
AG5 - Drop all weapons
AG6 - Roll leveling
AG7 - Pitch leveling (Trim adjustable, ±10° from horizon)
Trim - Trim
VTOL - Flaps

Specifications:

Powerplant:

Honeywell HTF7000-34 turbofan, 6,942 lbf thrust

Fuel Capacity:

249 gallons, 136 gallons on main tank, 56.5 gallons each tip tank

Significant Speeds

Takeoff speed: 120 knots (with half flaps)
Top speed: 430 knots TAS
Max landing speed: 180 knots
Min landing speed: 100 knots

Removed Features:

  1. Cockpit Avionics
I was supposed to add the avionics suite I made a while back, but I eventually removed it because it was too partcount demanding. As you may know I am on a potato i3 laptop. So I eventually removed it.

  2. Landing Gear Heading Lock
To reduce the plane's tendency to veer off the runway, the plane's nose gear was supposed to have an active correction system, activated by AG8. But the code is unfinished and is having a boatload of bugs (I even asked for Spefyjerbf's help).

Don't worry though. I will add these to the next plane I'll be building. For now, enjoy the Maya.

Happy Flying!
