SWS Upholder (FFG-4) is the fourth ship of the New Albany-class to enter Saltwater Navy service and the second to be converted to Flight IIA standard. She is a multirole guided missile frigate, capable of operations as a part of a carrier group or alone. Alongside her sisters she forms the backbone of the Saltwater Navy's escort fleet.

Design:

At just over 120m in length, Upholder is a medium size guided-missile frigate and features a highly potent arsenal, which includes two 5" naval guns, Perseus cruise missiles and over thirty surface-to-air missiles. Her radar dishes completely surround the superstructure, enabling enemy aircraft to be tracked at range from any angle

Upholder is propelled by two 35,000hp gas turbines driving two shafts. They allow the ship to reach speeds of up to 28 knots. She can endure at sea for up to 32 days without resupply.

For anti-submarine operations, Upholder is equipped with a single HXE-112 helicopter, as well as her rocket launcher and two torpedo launchers. She also carries two 9m RHIBs in two enclosed docks in the forward superstructure, which replace the Officer's Mess of the Flight I frigates. RHIBs can be replaced by midget submarines or drones if necessary.

AG6+TRIM: Turning.

AG8 activates the lights.
