Remake of my liberator class CA:
And no, it’s not American.

history

The Liberation class light cruiser was designed near the start of World War II, as response to other navies of the world. Due to constant minor changes in the design, as well as delays in production, the first ship of the class, RNPN Liberation, was completed in 1943, about a year and a half later than planned. The ship would feature decent armor, although it could be lackluster in some areas, and use 15 fast-firing 16inch guns in 5 triple turrets. For secondary armaments, the ships would have 4 4inch guns, which could serve as both Anti air and Anti ship weapons. The AA on the ship was rather lacking, with only a few 40mm, and 20mm guns. Later in the design, a single torpedo launcher with 3 tubes would be installed. The ship would also be able to carry 2-3 floatplanes, and would have 1 catapult and a crane to recover them. Overall, they would perform well, although seeing limited combat. 5 (as well as 3 ships in the Linbolnt, and deployer CVL subclasses) ships of the class would be made by 1949, and all were scrapped in the 1950s-70s.

Controls (also in craft instructions)

Ag1- FWD facing gun aiming
Ag2- Rear facing gun aiming
Ag3- Right secondaries (auto-aim)
Ag4- left secondaries (auto-aim)
Ag5- AA guns (auto-aim)
Ag6- start scout plane launch process (30 seconds) doesn’t fly too well
Ag8- turn off ship engines
VTOL to use torpedos

Seaplane launch instructions:

-Turn off Ag8 (optional)
-Turn on Ag6
-throttle 100%
- wait until catapult is positioned and launches the plane
-PULL UP
-Once you launch, the plane might go into the water 1 or 2 times, but just PULL UP and you’ll be fine

Notes

  • screw what I said in the teaser this looks kinda nice now that I’m done with it

  • I don’t even know if this is a remake or not because they’re completely different, and this one isn’t even a heavy cruiser (speaking of which my old heavy cruiser had so many more parts yet somehow looks worse than this)

  • don’t even try to land the “float”plane on water, buoyancy doesn’t work because if I made it, plane would break.

  • sorry about the drag points, kinda got lazy and forgot to do anything about them

  • not scaling it up even more as originally planned because the more I scale it up, the more issues that appear.

  • probably gonna remake my LNP-5 next since in my “lore” it was built off of a modified version of this hull. so uh… yeah

@ThomasRoderick yeah I honestly don’t know what I was smoking, especially considering now RNP is literally based in America according to my “lore” lol

No, it's not American, just a ship with similar outlines as a Brooklyn-class plus Mk.37 fire directors.
Also, 16" guns seem to be a "tad" bit too large for a CL.
