M5 medium tank
SP fixes: More detailed commander's pintle-mounted MG, cannon barrel now has a recoiling effect, and fixed an issue where the tank had a tendency to blow up when firing.
History and specs for the SimpleTanks challenge: In late 1939, the Republic of Kerzia has noticed a severe lack in their ground forces, especially tanks, and has submitted a demand for a design that combines firepower with decent armor and mobility. General Variability (a play on General Dynamics) thus submitted the M5 medium tank, while a different company submitted the MT-75 light tank.
The M5 medium tank, having been trialed in 1940 and accepted later that year, although not seeing combat until 1943 as several refinements were made for reliability, protection, and firepower. A stabiliser was considered, but later dropped to reduce complexity.
The M5's hull is fitted with 100mm of frontal armor, angled at 40-50 degrees, 75mm of side armor, and 50mm of rear armor. The turret has a 100mm turret face + a 150mm gun shield/mantlet, making it best fit for hull-down fighting positions.
The M5 is equipped with a recoiling 90mm cannon, capable of firing several types of ammo, although mostly using Armor-Piercing Capped Ballistic Capped (APCBC) with 175mm of penetration at point-blank range, and a capable High Explosive round. The tank is also equipped with three machine guns for defense against infantry, with two 7.62mm light machine guns (one coaxially-mounted, one bow-mounted) and one 12.7mm heavy machine gun (pintle-mounted, used by the commander), giving it a serious punch against enemy armor and infantry alike. The gunner has a primary sight which can zoom from 2x up to 5x.
The tank weighs nearly 47 tons, two tons heavier than originally anticipated, but it compensates for that by having wide tracks with rubber pads, and being powered by an 810 HP supercharged 8-cylinder diesel engine, giving it a power-to-weight ratio of ~17.23 hp/t, and a top speed of 50 km/h on road, giving it very good mobility for the weight and armor profile.
The tank was used in the invasion of Krakistan and liberation of Krakowrighte, playing a major role in winning the war alongside other allied tanks.

@rexzion my tank's like a Pershing with down syndrome, but yeah the T32 was also based off the Pershing so i guess they do have similarities
